NetworkSound Digital Snake powers Church Service and Live concert
June, 2005: NetworkSound, Inc, a leading provider of multi-channel audio and video over CAT-5 based on MaGIC, announced that the NetworkSound Digital Snake products were used successfully in recent events that include live concert and Church service. NetworkSound products were connected between Stage and FOH to carry multiple bi-directional audio channels over a single CAT-5 cable up to 300 feet.
“The installation was very simple and audio quality was fantastic” said Fred Holly, a leading pro audio and Church system installer. Further, “NetworkSound cable redundancy feature instills a piece of mind for concert managers knowing that the system can restore audio on a backup cable within a single sample delay, if the main cable is severed for any reasons. This is a fantastic feature for live concert applications”, said Fred. "The installation was simple and painless. No more bulky analog snakes to carry, and loss of signal quality, hum noise and cross talk over long distance".
NetworkSound digital snake can support many different audio formats such as balanced, Mic-pre, AES/EBU, SPDIF and unbalanced over a single CAT-5 cable. NetworkSound technology enables 32 X 32 channels over a single CAT-5 up to 100 meters/300 feet or in Fiber mode up to 2 km. The NetworkSound digital snake is modular so customers can upgrade themselves when they need to add more channels. The latency over a 100 meter CAT-5 or Fiber is guaranteed in micro seconds.
