Press Release:

NetworkSound announces MediaNet, a technology to support new media applications such as 5.1/7.1 digital
surround sound and video over a single network infrastructure

San Jose, CA - April 2, 2006:
NetworkSound, a leading provider of multi-channel, real time professional
audio/video over CAT-5 solutions, is pleased to announce the release of its new MediaNet technology for OEM
product development.  Synchronized networking of new compressed media applications, such as video, 5.1/7.1
digital surround sound and other compressed audio/video, requires synchronization of the unique clock source of
each stream.  NetworkSound’s MediaNet is the first technology that can support multiple unique clocks and is the
only solution capable of synchronously transporting multiple independently-clocked video and audio streams over a
standard CAT-5 network.

The primary applications of MediaNet are professional audio/video markets that require the highest quality and
lowest latency possible.  The unique technology can also be modified to work over a standard IP network for
consumer-level quality in the home media distribution market.  MediaNet is flexible and can also be adapted to
different network infrastructures, such as wireless, with minimum changes.

Professional audio/video environments, such as recording studios and live performances, require very low latency
(less than 5 ms) and no sample or bit loss. MediaNet provides high-bandwidth, end-to-end transport and control of
the highest quality digital audio/video over a single network on a standard CAT-5 cable with no bit loss and
extremely low latency. The key advantages of MediaNet to the pro audio/video markets are:

•        Multiple channels over a single cable (112 channels at 100 Mbps/1024 channels at 1 Gigabit)
•        Multiple compressed and uncompressed video streams over a single CAT-5
•        Latency less than 200 micro-seconds over a 100 meter cable
•        Audio, video and control data are all carried over the same network
•        Multiple media sources with their own clock source supported (video, 5.1/7.1 digital audio)
•        Cost savings achieved by replacing multiple analog cables with a single CAT-5 cable
•        End-to-End digital audio and video to PC and DSP for enhancements in digital domain
•        Computer-based processing tools achieve their maximum potential
•        Large-scale audio networks become easily manageable
•        Programmable, so that different configurations can be loaded by a simple flash change
•        Single low cost ASIC solution for high volume, low cost applications

The release of MediaNet shows NetworkSound’s commitment to continue to pioneer vital technological advances
that will change the face of real time high-quality audio/video distribution. “I am very pleased that NetworkSound’s
stellar team has developed this ground breaking technology that addresses the needs of the emerging compressed
media distribution market”, said Barani Subbiah, Founder & CEO of NetworkSound. “It is a testament to
NetworkSound’s vision to be the leader in innovation of next generation technologies and to be focused on
providing solutions that address the needs of our customers”, he continued. Products based on MediaNet will be
available for OEM customers by the end of 2Q of 2006. For more information about NetworkSound technology
